Final review reveals an error in payer and recipient address on a Form 1099-INT. How can I enter a correction?

If you weren't able to make the correction directly on the screen in Review that displayed the error, you can exit Review and navigate back to the Income section, Investment Income area where you entered Form 1099-INT and make the correction.

Since the address information is not entered in TurboTax for Form 1099-INT, double-check the nature of the correction needed. If you imported a Form 1099-INT and your address on the imported file is causing the issue, it might be easier to delete this 1099-INT and reenter it manually.

If the error on Form 1099-INT was in the State section of the form, Boxes 15 through 17, TurboTax will expect entries in Boxes 16 and 17 if you entered a state in Box 15. If your form doesn't have any entries in those boxes, leave them blank.

If you didn't have any state withholding shown on your 1099-INT, make sure that the box "State income taxes were withheld on this interest" is NOT checked.

If your 1099-INT entry has any reference to state withholding removed, but you are still getting an error that prevents you from proceeding to file, try deleting the Form 1099-INT following these steps then entering it again.
