Hello Team,
I was on F1 visa from Jan-Oct 2019 and got my H1B status starting Oct. I was wondering that if I can use Turbo tax for filling 2019 taxes?
Since in the past its recommended by my school to use Sprintax for F1 visa.
Thanks!

It depends when you first came into the United States on your F-1 Visa. When determining if you meet the Substantial Presence Test you are not allowed to count the days you were present for up to five calendar years.
If you entered the U.S in 2014 you would be able to count all the days in 2019 and could be considered a resident alien for tax purposes.
If you are considered a resident alien, you can use TurboTax to file a Form 1040. Just because you changed to an H1B Visa during the year does not automatically qualify you as a resident alien.
If you are still a nonresident alien you will need to use Sprintax to file a Form 1040NR. If you have questions you can contact Sprintax Help for assistance.
Thanks @KurtL1 for the reply, I entered US for the first time with F1 visa in 2016 so that means I will be considered as Non resident Allen right?
Yes, that is correct. In 2019 you are considered a Nonresident Alien for tax purposes.
