I made 3,000 last year, my fiance was the main bread maker for me and are newborn last year. Should he claim me and are son on his taxes? And if so do I still file then?

Filing

He can claim himself and your son, filing HOH.  If you are married, you will be on his return as a spouse. If you are not married, you are not related and he can't claim you for the other dependent credit.

You made $3,000 but was it work where you were paid cash or did you get a w2 matters.

  • If you have a w2 for $3,000, you are not required to file but can if you had taxes withheld and want a refund.
  • If this was cash you made doing Uber, babysitting, whatever then you must file a return to report the self-employment tax you owe.
