Filing status

Hello, my fiance and I have lived with each other for more than half the year.  A majority of the bills are in my name including rent, in short I pay more than half of the expenses.  She has a son who we had every other weekend so far under half the year.  In short is there a special filing status like head of household that I should be using?  If it helps we've intended to get married for a few years now and live in Texas. Idk if I can file head of household, married seperately, etc or if I must file Single.

No, you cannot file as Head of Household even if you pay all of the bills because you do not have a qualifying dependent.   In order to file as HOH you must have a qualifying dependent, and your GF cannot ever be a qualifying dependent.  She cannot even be any kind of dependent for you since you did not live together for the whole year.   Your filing status is Single.

Am I Head of Household?

If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.
