Filing jointly w/wife but credit union acct only in my name. Will CU reject direct deposit of our refund if i dont add my wife to my Patelco credit union account ?

Hi I'm filing jointly with my wife (stay-at-home mom) and claiming our 8-month-old son. We live in California. I am at the " How would you like to receive your federal and state refunds? " step and choosing up to 5 days early in bank account option ( its confusing there are so many options - i dont know how long Credit Karma would take ) Here's my situation: I'm the sole income earner in our family The TurboTax account is only in my name (though I've added my wife and son as dependents) I want the refund deposited to my personal Patelco Credit Union account (only in my name) We're filing as "Married Filing Jointly" I'm worried that since we're filing jointly but the credit union account is only in my name, the Patelco credit union might reject the direct deposit. I've heard joint refunds need to go to joint accounts. I called Turbotax and the lady in the phone had no idea what to do. Please help and let me know if i can send the refund directly to my account or i need to add my wife to my account as well ?

Yes, only one owner of the account is required for direct deposit.
