Filing back taxes

Hello turbo community, I have back taxes to file and was wondering if I have to purchase turbo tax for every year or can you purchase one downloadable software with upgrades for each year? Thanking you in advance for your responses. Happy 2020.

Sorry you gave to buy each year separately.  And they only sell & support the last 3 years.  So currently you can buy 2016-2018 here, https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/ 

You have to print and mail prior year returns.  When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS or State received the return.

Mail each year and federal and state in separate envelopes.

Each tax year is a separate TurboTax program.

To complete and file a prior year tax return, 2016 thru 2018, using TurboTax you would need to purchase, download and install on a personal computer, Win or Mac, one of the prior year desktop program for each year required from this website - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

Prior year tax returns can only be printed and mailed, they cannot be e-filed.
