Filing a trust return. Trying to file electronically but I'm getting an error on form 770 line one. Error indicate amt needs to be entered but can't figure out how to?

Form 770 is a VA form for final year of a Trust. Did you go through the VA interview?

1) Open Forms

2) Click on Virginia Fiduciary Income Tax Return

3) Click on Form 770 and the dropdown will appear

The information on the Virginia 770  is primarily going to be entered through the federal K-1 entry.  The stuff that goes in separately is the items in two and three.  You'll enter those as additions and subtractions from income into the Virginia return where appropriate.

Thanks for the information.  When I clicked on form 770 as noted  I don't see a drop down.  I'm still stuck.

I mean the form should drop down.  Did you go through the VA interview for the Trust?  

I'm assuming you are utilizing TT Business.  Is it online or desktop?
