I filed my taxes on February 27, 2022. My state return came out to $267, which i havw recieved. My federal came out to $2311. I paid the fee which was $117. It's been over 21 days. Why am did i only recieve $800, of the $2000+ i am to recieve. I contacts turbo tax, and the IRS both through support chats, emails, and phone calls. Why is no one answering the questions i have, and im tired of the only specified questions that are given to me. Why am i given more reason to despise my government and the ignorance that comes with it.

The fact that you got $800 means the IRS is looking to decide if you should get the rest of the money. The IRS will send you a letter asking for more information. Until you get the letter from the IRS and provide the additional information, there is nothing anyone can do for you. A common one is when two people claim the same child but there are lots of reasons the IRS could be questioning your return. The letter may ask for you to provide receipts for child care or college expenses, many possibilities. Relax, watch the mail, respond quickly.

You can fax the IRS or mail. Either way, make sure you can prove that you did respond. Proof of fax or mailing should be kept. Generally, if you fax, you can call to verify it was received 10 days later. If you mail it with tracking, you will know when it arrives.
