Failed Validation Error Code 54

Has anyone found a fix to this? This error message pops up when trying to transmit returns. I check for updates and it says I'm up to date. I've closed TT and reopened and same error message. Tried the manual update via link in TT post and that does not work either. This is absolutely annoying and seems to be a continuing problem that Turbo Tax does not fix.
