I select TT because it always updates the program without error or effort beyond that of a simple wage earner. Could someone offer a simple, emphasis on "simple" on how to correct this.
This is my 8th year with TT. I am really not more computer literate than I was in 2013.
I have disabled my virus programs with no correction.

expect random errors and issues until mid-January or later, since TurboTax is preliminary.
For some, the issues continue through tax season.
also, try right-clicking on the program and select "run as administrator"

Let me offer an important add here.
Just's for S&%$#'s and grins, I opened, and successfully updated, my 2020 TT program.
Is it fair in saying, it's is a TT matter, not a Microsoft matter?
