F1040-525-03

I've been rejected last year and this year e-filing through turbotax for this code. I mailed in the return last year but would like to continue using this service without the hassle of mailing in the return. Please advise how to correct this error for current and future purposes. 

 

FYI: I've never had this problem when filing my taxes with a live CPA

Did you double check your SSN?  If it is correct, you can do the following as suggested by the IRS.

 

Make sure you enter the correct birth date, in the correct format, in the correct space.

 

  • The IRS receives Date of Birth (DOB) information from the Social Security Administration (SSA). Updates occur regularly.
  • Please call the SSA at 800-772-1213 to determine the correct DOB.
  • If their records match the DOB you have entered, you will have to determine whether you want to wait for the update to occur and transmit again or mail in your return.
  • Make the correction(s) and resubmit.
  • If you are making a payment, you may have to re-date Step 3, Payment Options. New Search
  • If this solution did not work for you, you may Contact us.
