Extended file for 2022

I submitted my e-file yesterday and it was rejected because of a PIN error.  I checked my 2021  submission and used that PIN when I filed.  Then I went through id.me to sign into the IRS site to reset my PIN, they assigned a new 6 digit PIN to my account but The turbo Tax only allows a 5 digit entry. How can I resubmit my efile?

The "IP-PIN" (6 digit) and the e-filing "PIN" (5digit) are different beasts

    _______

If you did just recently get a NEW 6-digit "IP-PIN"  (that is not the regular final filing 5-digit PIN).

That 6-digit IP-PIN is not entered in the 5-digit place.

The IP-PIN is entered in the Federal section, on the "Other Tax Situations" page.

Then the regular (but different) 5-digit PIN is used during your actual filing....or you can use your 2021 AGI instead.

@woodshoe453 - the IRS issues you a new PIN each year (normally in January).  You can not use the 2021 PIN for 2022.
