error when trying to file an amended 2025 return

I'm trying to file an amended 2025 return to include an overlooked 1099-DIV. Desktop program on a mac. I get the IRS error: /Return/ReturnData/IRS1040X/NetChangeOrigRptOrPrevAdjGrp/TotalAdditionalDeductionsAmt - Data in the return is missing or invalid. Please double check your entries.

I followed the advice of chatgpt and deleted the 1040-x form, closed the program, re-opened, and went through the amended form steps again. I did not delete the 1099-div. Re-transmitted, and the error happend again. Help?
