Error Updating 2023 Desktop on Mac

I have 2023 Turbo Tax downloaded and installed on my Mac.  This morning it prompted me to download the latest update, which I did.  The update successfully "extracted," but once I selected the option to install and relaunch, I got the following error message:  "For security reasons, updates that downgrade version of the application are not allowed. Refusing to downgrade app from version 2023.r11.016 to 2023.r10.015. Aborting update."

The last update, a couple of days ago, caused the software to uninstall itself from my computer, so I had to re-download and re-install it.  Ready to lodge a consumer complaint if they can't get their software to work.  If I could override the automatic update process, I'd be ecstatic.
