I clicked on downloaded .exe file. It started but stopped saying I needed Microsoft Visual C++ with an install button. I clicked on it but it said the install of MS Visual C ++ failed. Got the following message.
"The files for installation requirement Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 Redistributable Package could not be found. The installation will now stop. This is probably due to a failed or canceled download"
Anyone can provide guidance here?

Same issue, can't install Turbo Tax 2024 on a Windows 11 laptop due to this error. Not sure why products are still requiring C++ installers. Will cancel my subscription and get my money back.
The company didn't help at all, but I was able to figure it out.
I just downloaded this file https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
Then turbotax was able to download.
I downloaded that as well but will not install. Tried multiple machines but nothing seems to work.
It seems you need to download and install the proper version of the Visuall C++ Package. Not all links bring you to the proper download page.
VC_redist.x64.exe (Version 14.42.34433) after installing this version TurboTax 2024 will install properly.
Try downloading with this link for Microsoft Visual C and C++.
If you have Windows 11, you may also need to switch from S mode. Here's How to Switch Out of 'S' Mode for Windows 11.
I have VC++ of correct version installed but turbo tax 24 still isn't happy with it as it complains that installation failed
