Entering 1095 for my ACA marketplace insurance and it's giving too large of PTC

The problem I am having is that when I enter my 1095-A form,  Turbotax is completing form 8962 declaring all 12 months as eligible for the PTC and indicating a large refund.   I don't believe that's correct.

I purchased my health insurance through the ACA marketplace for all of 2024.   I claimed no APTC  and paid the full premiums out of pocket.  My 1095-A shows my monthly premium paid as $249 for each of the 12 months and that I have claimed $0.00 for APTC.

For January and February, I was unemployed and should be eligible for the PTC for those 2 months.   But, beginning in March, and for the rest of the year, I was employed, and eligible for health insurance through my employer, but elected to keep the ACA marketplace plan instead and pay the premiums.

The problem I am having is that when I enter my 1095-A premiums for January-December,  Turbotax is completing form 8962 declaring all 12 months as eligible for the PTC and I don't believe that's correct.  It should only be allowing January and February to be claimed.   But there's no prompt about eligibiity for employer insurance or anything.   How can I proceed and only claim January and February?

There are certain calculations TurboTax does not support.  This does appear to be one of them as the program handles the basic entry with the assumption that you otherwise do qualify for the credit.

Thanks for responding, that makes sense.

For what it's worth, and in case someone else finds this thread with a similar issue:  the support person at healthcare.gov said to go ahead and file it with the 1095 I have and the tax credit calculated.   The IRS should reconcile the tax credit on their end and make any adjustments to the return amount.   They will have the 1095 sent by my employer that shows I was eligible for employer insurance, and thus not eligible for the credit .
