I am getting an error on my federal tax return, for "Forms W-2 & W-2G Summary: Elective deferrals - TP $48987. its more than the allowed $24500 for a 401k plan. Please check your entries on your W2 for 401k plans."
The problem is that I do not have a 401k plan, but rather I am contributing just under $24500 to a standard 403b plan at work, which fits for my age (over 50), as well as ALSO contributing to a ROTH 457 plan at work, just under the max limit for that, at $24500. This takes me to $48987 for combined contributions for 403b and ROTH 457 plans at my place of work, which should pass.
So, I do not know why my TurboTax Deluxe (running on Mac OS Mojave) is flagging this as an error.
Is it possible that my modified AGI is throwing TurboTax off, or am I not interpreting the tax rules correctly, or something else?

You have not interpreted any tax rules incorrectly, you are running into a Review issue in the software. TurboTax is aware of the issue that you are having and is currently working on a solution.
