I filed jointly in 2020, but due to divorce, filing single in 2021.   I was not the primary filer on the joint return in 2020.  Trying to efile for 2021 and fed does not recognize the AGI from the 2020 return.  Also tried with 0.  Both rejected.  How can I get the efile to accept or will I be forced to do a paper filing in 2021?

Did you use the whole amount from your 2020 joint tax return?  You should use the full amount of your AGI that is on your joint return, do not split it.

What AGI should I enter if I'm recently divorced or widowed?
