Are you using the desktop software? if so you will want to ensure that you have checked for the latest updates. The steps can be found here. If by "update" you are referencing something else, please advise and we will further assist.
I had the same problem today 3/10/22. I kept 'updating software', the system checked for updates and said my software was up to date. Yet when I hit the e-file button, up popped the software update message again. So I closed out of TurboTax and came back a few hours later and it worked. Must have been a system problem on TurboTax site. Keep trying.
