E-File Status - Discrepancy

My 2021 E-File Status shows Accepted, yet IRS says it was not received yet.  How do I re-submit my return?

E-File Status - Discrepancy

Hello Donna,

If the return is showing as accepted, do not attempt to re-submit. The return will be rejected and show a return has already been filed. If you e-filed through TurboTax, contact us and we are able to give you an acceptance id. The IRS seems to be taking some time to process and post the return to your account. That is frequently caused by problems in the processing of the return. The IRS can find the return with the acceptance id.

E-File Status - Discrepancy

Thank you Mel.  I sent this question while I was on hold with IRS.  When agent got back with me, lo & behold, she found it "at the bottom of the pile".  Not sure what that means but she assures me I should receive response (hopeful the refund) by the 14th, but if not then I'm to to call back on the 16th.

Glad to hear they found the return. The refund should be processed.
