What is the deadline to e-file 2022 tax year returns using TurboTax Desktop? Same for Federal and State? Thank you.

Turbotax desktop and online have the same deadlines.

The last date you can transmit a federal return is October 15. (This is the final deadline for people who had an extension or who live in an area covered by a disaster declaration.) If your federal return is rejected, you have an extra 5 days to fix and re-transmit, but you can't transmit a new first-time return after the October 15. The IRS e-file system may remain open longer for professionals.

Turbotax can't transmit a state return unless a federal return is transmitted at the same time (this is a security precaution). So the deadline for transmitting a state return is also October 15, even if the state's e-file system is open longer.
