When entering the forms, what did you select at the screen Which type of income is your 1099-K for?

No, it does not ask what type of income when using the Review links.  It does if I navigate to Wages & Income on the menu.

Also, each of the links in the Review below take me to the same listing of my 3 1099-ks.  AND no matter which 1099-k I click on, it only shows the data for the first 1099-k.  I also had to use the menu links to navigate to the other 1099-ks.

Are all of your IRS forms 1099-K reporting personal item sales or something else?

If you are reporting personal item sales, have you reported any sales under Investments and Savings?

No.  Two 1099-ks are listed as personal items and one 1099-k is listed as self-employment income.  None of the three 1099-ks are reported as sales under Investments and Savings.

You may need to delete the forms and start over.

In TurboTax Premier Online, report the IRS form 1099-K for self-employment income within the self-employment activity reported on Schedule C Profit and Loss From Business.  Follow these steps:

  • Down the left side of the screen, click Federal.
  • Down the left side of the screen, click Wages & Income.
  • Click on the drop down arrow to the right of Self-employment.
  • Click to the right of Self-employment income and expenses.
  • At the screen Your 2024 self-employed work summary, click Edit.
  • At the screen Here's your info, select Add income for this work.
  • Select Form 1099-K.

If you delete, then re-enter the other two IRS form 1099-K, you should see the screen Which type of income is your 1099-K for?  Which income will you choose?

I’m running into the same issue. I’ve cleared my cache, deleted and re-entered the 1099 k forms again and it keeps asking me to review and everything is accurate. Talked to two techs and unable to help resolve. 1099ks are from Airbnb and VRBO for rental income. Who can help resolve asap?

You are reporting rental income activity reported on IRS Schedule E Supplemental Income and Loss.

Rather than report the IRS form 1099-K and direct the income to the rental income activity, report the rental income activity within the rental income activity.

In TurboTax Premium Online, follow these steps:

  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Wages & income.
  • Click to the right of Rentals, Royalties, and Farm.
  • Click to the right of Rental Properties and Royalties.
  • At the screen Your 2024 rentals and royalties summary, click the pencil icon to the right.
  • At the screen Here's rental property info, select Add income.
  • At the screen Select your type of income, select Form 1099-K.

I deleted all 3 forms and re-entered the 1099-k related to business under self-employment income and the other two 1099-Ks under regular income/1099-K.   The business 1099-K no longer shows in the list of items to review but the other two 1099-Ks still show up in the list to review, with no guidance as to what the issue might be.  The only thing I can think of is maybe it's being flagged because they were submitted from the same filer?

Either way, I ended up having to file with those two still showing up as needing review.

I ended up doing the same thing. Very frustrating.
