When you post the details of your question, be sure to specify what kind of 1099 you are asking about. There are over 20 different kinds. There is no plain Form 1099. All 1099 forms have one or more letters after the 1099. The most common are 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-B, 1099-NEC, 1099-R, and 1099-G.
Are the duplicate 1099s exactly the same in all respects - same year, same payer and recipient, same type of 1099, same amounts in every box? How did you come to have duplicate 1099s? Is one of the 1099s marked "Corrected"? Did you ask the payer why you got duplicate 1099s?
Are you asking about 1099s that you received or 1099s that you issued or will issue?
