I moved from US to Canada permanently in the middle of last year and spent less than 183 days in USA . I am not a citizen of Canada but don't have any financial/tax liabilities/obligations in my country of citizenship. I work and live in Canada .I meet the substantial presence test on account of time spent in US in 2019 and 2020. In order to claim an earlier residency termination I am aware i need to attach a statement required to establish y residency termination date. But do I ALSO need to attach form 8840?
