Here what Quicken says, they must have done some upgrades in code for 11, but still made fixes in new code to continue support for Windows 10.
Yes, newer versions of Quicken are fully compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 11, but older versions may not be officially supported and could experience compatibility issues, crashes, or data corruption.
I have old Quicken 2013 and it still works on Windows 11. By the way, Quicken hasn't been owned by Intuit for many many years. They are completely separate now. QuickBooks is still with Intuit.
I knew Intuit didn't own Quicken, was just trying to make point that TurboTax could support Windows 10 as most all other companies are doing- it's not difficult. Actually, I know people who went to 11 and didn't have to update apps. Most organizations are insuring that their software will work on either platform Windows 10 or 11 as long as MS supports the operating system.
I have read that for a small fee, MicroSoft will continue providing updates and support for Windows 10, so I don't see what Intuit's problem is. Like others here, I will not buy a new PC to continue using their product. I have already dropped out of the subscription and removed my credit card. There are other options out there for doing my taxes. I'm done, unless they change their direction on this.
Thanks for posting that link! Lots of people have used it and gotten call-backs, as have I. It strikes me as very strange that they (Corporate) would provide this kind of customer service and yet be so short sighted in their approach as to prevent Turbo Tax 2025 from running under Windows 10! Lets keep up the pressure!
I sent the following detailed email after missing a callback from the Office of the President. Sadly, they replied that they are still standing behind "security" as the reason from dropping Win 10 support. I stand behind my statement that this is just "laughable"".

I am writing to strongly urge you to reconsider the recently announced decision to not support TurboTax 2025 on Windows 10.
I am a retired IT professional with over 50 years of industry experience. My last role before I retired was as Chief Information Security Officer for Purdue University. In short, I am very familiar with IT issues from coding to system design to information security.
The stated reason for dropping Windows 10 support out of concern for customer security is simple laughable! Windows 11 is not an inherently more secure platform than Windows 10. Frankly, neither is great but they what we have available from Microsoft. Microsoft has announced the end of support for Windows 10, but they have already announced options to continue Windows 10 support. This support will not include new features but WILL INCLUDE security updates through the end of 2026. As of July 2025, only about half of Windows users have migrated the Windows 11. Are you ready to walk away from those users? Microsoft saw the flaw in their strategy and is offering an option. Intuit needs to do the same.
I believe I understand IT support issues and I can imagine some of your management is concerned about the increased cost of support for both Windows 10 and Windows 11. That is likely true. The other side of that question, however, is the possible loss of revenue when Windows 10 users who can’t migrate because of their own costs for new hardware decide to seek out another vendor. That discussion is already very active in various forums.
I also suspect there are also some managers who want to push desktop users to your online product. Again, this could be an advantage to Intuit, but it is impossible to argue that an online TurboTax is more secure for a customer than a desktop version. As an IT security professional, I would argue that an online product is a greater security risk for that customer. For starters, the fact that an online application produces a single attach point for the criminal is a huge factor.
I could go on, but I hope I have made my basic points. I have used TurboTax for as long as I can remember. In short, I am a loyal customer, and I need you to be a loyal vendor.
Dropping Windows 10 support now is a flawed strategy and I hope you will reconsider and change this direction.
