If I file with an expired drivers license will i get red flagged or audited. Or will I have to id verify? Is it better to just skip providing this info?

The IRS does not require you to enter a drivers license to e-file. It just adds a layer of security for you. You can skip it. There are some states that are very picky about the drivers license or state ID though, it your state might require it ---if you have a problem e-filing the state you might have to mail the state.
Don't enter an expired document. That's just looking for trouble.
