I have a security question. When I go thru the process of downloading my tax forms, I get the message that Turbotax (Intuit) program will have FULL access to my account including IRAs and Checking account. Last year such access was not required. Why is TT requiring full access and how do I limit the access to tax forms only

The way things are set up now is that you consent to share information with Intuit (TurboTax) in order to get the data into the program. This may no seem to be secure to you but you should be aware that a tax professional using professional tax software would use a similar method to get your data into the return they're preparing for you (essentially, you agree to share access to your account).
I understand the process. I have a follow up. when I downloaded my information one particular account did not get down loaded. This account was not in place for 2024 taxes. Is there a way I can download only this account? I am afraid that if I do full down load I will have several duplicate forms. That has happened before
After you initiate the download (in your browser) and return to TurboTax, you should see checkboxes in the TurboTax screen which you can check or uncheck as the case may be. At least that's what I saw, and I could uncheck boxes from accounts I did not want to import into the program.
