Don't know if to file Single or Married

Hello.

This one is a new one for me this year and I want to make sure I file right. I got married last year in August. I'm a US Citizen and my husband is Canadian. However, he has not moved down yet nor have we got our visa at the moment.

Do I file single or married? (Married but head of household?)

This is more complicated.  Based on what you provided you can file your US tax return as HOH. However, there is the question of Canadian taxes on your income. You and your husband may have to sit down with a tax pro familiar with US/Canada income taxes to determine the best filing option.

This TurboTax help article details your filing options when your spouse is a non-resident alien:

How should I file my taxes if my spouse is a nonresident alien?
