They do not offer holiday advances.
No, TurboTax does not do advances for the holidays for anyone. For the last few years they have offered a Refund Advance during part of January and February, and they will probably do so again this year. But the Refund Advance is only available after the IRS has accepted your e-filed tax return, which can't happen until sometime in January. And you can't request an advance or apply for one. You can only get it if TurboTax offers it to you after you file your tax return.
Turbotax has never offered a "traditional" refund anticipation loan (which carry interest rates of up to 36%).
Instead, Turbotax offers a refund advance of a partial payment of your refund immediately after your return is e-filed and accepted, with no interest, but only for customers who meet strict qualifications including state of residency and credit score. It's basically a 3 week loan with no interest after you file, instead of a 3 month loan with super high interest before you file.
