Does it always take over two weeks to get your tax return done?

I submitted my tax information over two weeks ago and they still have not done my taxes. What is taking so long?

Well, the rule of thumb is 21 days.  However, you should be able to check Where's My Refund to determine the status of your refund.  Sometimes it takes a little longer to process a return based on the information on the return.  If you are claim certain credits, it can delay the return while information is being considered.  Also, with all of the new tax breaks surrounding children that could cause a delay if you claimed dependents.  Use the link above, it will give you information on the status of your refund.  Thank you for using TurboTax!!  @kjsmitty1
