Question

Does Intuit know how many days were in 2024?

I'm entering tax information for rental property.  I am asked how many days the property was rented in 2024.  I enter 366.  Turbotax says the number must be no larger than 365.

So now I have to falsify my return because the TurboTax software programmers are obviously lazy?

Considering I had to send Turbotax photos of my driver's license - front and back, in an effort to regain access to my 2024 Turbotax software that I paid $100's for, seems they should spend a little more time on software integrity rather than on "security".  That was three days ago.  I still haven't heard back from them.

The TurboTax Home and Business desktop version allows inputs from 0 to 366 for the number of days rented and 0 to 365 for the number of personal use days.

Please share which version of TurboTax you are using so that this situation can be submitted for correction.  For reference, see the screenshot from the Home and Business version below:

Please verify that you are filing a Form 1041.  I was able to duplicate the situation you described and will take the necessary steps to report it for correction by the development team.
