Yes, if your daughter's final return shows a refund, you will need to include Form 1310 with the return to claim the refund.
It's part of the tax return and you may be able to e-file it. Whether you can e-file the tax return with Form 1310 depends on several factors such as whether there's an estate, if a court is involved, and if other paperwork has to be submitted with the return.
If you do have to mail in this return, it'll go the IRS, not to TurboTax.
To complete Form 1310:
- Select the magnifying glass toward the upper right corner.
- Type in 1310.
- Select select Jump to Form 1310.
- Complete the questions in the section.
