Do I qualify as head of household? I have dependents & am divorced, but more than 1/2 of my income is alimony & I use alimony+my income to pay household expenses?

I need to know if the fact that I get more in alimony than I make in salary means I don't qualify under the "pay more than half of household expenses" requirement.  I use a mixture of alimony and my income, and save some, so who's to say which source of income pays the bills?

You can still file as HOH even if some of your income comes from alimony.  The alimony is YOUR income and you are using it to support your household.
