Do I need to have any document scanned when e-filing taxes? ie. W2, etc.

Do I need to have any document scanned when e-filing taxes? ie. W2, etc.

No, you do not have to scan your documents and send them to TurboTax or the IRS.  

However, it is a good idea to scan and save your documents electronically and keep for three years in case of an audit.
