Do I have to pay state taxes owed immediately or can I wait to pay when have the money available ?

They need to be paid today or you would be late and subject to penalty.  If you cannot pay, you need to contact your state for payment options.  Every state varies with their payment plan options.

You would need to go to your state treasury department website to get the contact information.  What state?

Select pay by check and it won't come out of your account.  If that doesn't work select print and mail your state.

Every state handles this differently.
