Do I have to file a Federal and State return?  I received $20,339 from Social Security retirement income. My other income was $8,340.  I am filing single.

You do not need to file ... you are below the filing requirement for both the feds & CA.

I Forgot To Say Half Of The Other Income Was From Annuity Payments, No Withholdings.  Does That Change Anything?
