Do I have to claim state tax on unemployment compensation?

I claim the unemployment compensation on my federal tax so do I also claim it on my state tax?

Information flows from the federal return to your state return. If you entered the 1099G on your federal return the unemployment will be on your state return. You have not mentioned your state so we do not know if your state will tax the unemployment.
