Do I have to buy the software at the store in order to do my taxes and my daughter's taxes and not have to pay twice?

What kind of "tax" cd are you buying?  If you read the box you want to buy, it should tell you what can be done.  I usually buy the deluxe and I am able to do both of our taxes.  If you are going to e-file, only the federal is free.  The State has a fee I think it is $29.99.   I hope this helps.
