In 2020 I took a Covid-related distribution from my IRA that could be shown across three years, which I did for 2020, 2021 and 2022. While entering my info into Turbotax 2023, there was a question, "Did you take a disaster distrubution at any time between 2018 and 2022? I answered, "yes" because that was true. Doing that forced an amount equal to 1/3 of my original distribution to show as "pensions taxable" in my 2023 income. I then went back and looked closely at the wording on the screen and saw, "select Yes if you need to report 1/3 of the amount of your distribution from a prior year." I then selected "no" since I've already reported the entire distribution over the past three years. The amount still shows up after selecting "no," and I can't find a way to delete it. What is the best way to deal with this?

More than likely a Form 1099-R and Form 8915-F transferred over from the 2022 return to your 2023 return and need to be deleted.
Click on Forms. When in Forms mode find the Form 1099-R and 8915-F in the list on the left side of the screen. Click on each form to open. Scroll down and click on Delete Form.
It looks like something might not be updated properly in Turbotax 2023 yet, because when I looked at forms, there is a form, "8915E-T Wks" for 2023 that shows amounts claimed in 2020 and 2021, but not 2022, then says an amount equal to the third 1/3 is subject to tax in 2023. I already declared that final 1/3 on my 2022 form, so there should be none left for 2023. Then, there is a "Form 8915F-T (Not Done)" which has an amount equal to that amount that transfers in from the worksheet that gets called, "This is your total income this year from other-than-IRA retirement plan qualified disaster distributions." It then gets noted as, "Pensions - taxable." This makes no sense. It was all from my IRA. I have no pensions.
The 8915 hasn't been updated for 2023 yet. Some forms take longer than others. However, if you have paid back all of the taxes from the 2020 payroll draw then you should be able to delete the form.
An IRA is considered a type of pension. So that's all that the note is referring to.
Deleting the Form will not work.
Delete the worksheet- 8915E-T Wks, that should auto delete the Form, but double check.
I deleted the worksheet, then the form disappeared and it seemed everything looked right. Thanks.
