I'm assuming this means the COVID distribution that many of us opted to spread out in 3 installments. I seleced "yes" and got this message "You'll need to revisit this area. Unfortunately, IRS instructions related to repayments of disaster distributions weren't ready in time for us to include them in this release. Please revisit this area later" This is precluding me from filing my taxes. Do you have an ETA when these s/b available? Thank you in advance.

You will report the second taxable portion of your 2020 coronavirus distribution in the Retirement section under Wages and Income of TurboTax.
However, this section is not yet ready as the IRS has not yet issued instructions for form 8915-F and you'll need to revisit this section later.
Please read this TurboTax Help topic on form 8915-F.
At this time, we do not have information as to when the IRS will release form 8915-F which was still in draft form as of February 2 on this IRS page.
Looks like IRS has updated this. When will it be available in the software for the desktop app? I need to file my taxes.
You can monitor when the forms will be available in Turbo Tax by clicking here @nicollejoy.
I see it but it shows as "unsupported". When will this be supported? It needs to be available to efile. It's not really secure to maill in returns plust i need my refund faster than that. Thanks in advance.
https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/alternative-filing-method-for-e-filed-returns-that-include-form-8915-... Looks like the IRS will accept e-filed versions of this form so is Turbotax updaing the software accordingly?
Just following up for when this will be ready for e-file. I thought someone said last week but I did the updates today and I'm still getting the same error message.
Never mind. I see now it's 3/31. This is really problematic. Not much time to file taxes after that.
Im Just running into this now. So if I am understanding, we have to wait till 3/31 and hop turbo tax allows us to submit?
The IRS recently made a change to Form 8915 regarding disaster distributions to include qualified events from 2021.
You can track the availability of Form 8915 with this link:
IRS forms availability table for TurboTax individual (personal) tax products
I'm having the same problem. is it still unavailable?
any update on this?
Any update ?, unfortunately I already pay for this.
The IRS forms availability list for individual filers
Currently shows as available on March 24th.
If you are worried about this, or actually do get squeezed for time due to TurboTax "issues", file Form 4868 request for extension of time to file.
You don't need that form if you are getting a refund.
BUT, note that the tax on your COVID distribution could wipe out your refund.
