I have 3 dependents but this year I will only claim 1. All are my children but for self health insurance. They need to file on  their own. Can they place zero for income? They are not employed. 2 out of the 3 are full time students.

Why do they need to file on their own? What is "self health insurance?"

They aged out of health insurance. To qualify for health insurance health care .gov they must file their own taxes. They do not have an income. My now 18 year old is still on my ins so I will still put him as my dependent.

Are you asking because you have a 1095-A with kids you are not claiming on there?   Are you trying to allocate the 1095-A?   If so, and they have no income, you can enter $0 for their income.  However, if you qualify to claim them on your tax return, you should.   Or you could be asking about something completely different...   If you still have a question, please reply and let us know all the facts..
