Dependents

Hello,

My son became 24 years old on 11/2019 and he had been a full time student until he graduated on 6/2019.

He had lived with me whole 2019 year and he didn't contribute any living expenses. He filed his own 2019 tax returns with more tha $4,200 income.(Approx. $35,000)

Can I still claim him as my dependent when I file 2019 tax returns?

Thank you.

no.  he is to old to be a qualifying child and his income is too high to be a qualifying relative.  he should file without checking he could be claimed as a dependent.  if he checked this, then he needs to amend.
