I claim my son on my taxes. he is 18. he had a part time job and now has a 1099 from his college. Do I add his income on my taxes OR does he file for himself? @Raph

You do NOT report his income on your tax return. He must file his own tax return.

I wound up with my child not eligible as my dependent, which is a complete crock. This answer needs to be corrected, but I cannot figure out how to do so.
