dependants

I have 2 dependants. One is under 17, the other is a college student that lives at home . The turbotax has $1000 listed for dependants. Last year showed $2000. Shouldnt this year show the same?

Sorry but all dependents over the age of 16 only qualified for a $500 tax credit. So two dependents times 500 = 1,000.
