Hi-
Each year when I import my prior year tax return, I end up with a lot of 1099-OID forms from various brokers, then when I import data from the brokerage for current year, I get new 1099-OID forms, and data does not flow into the old forms.
Can I simply go into the Forms view (On TT Home and Business for Mac), select all the Form 1099-OIDs and just delete them from there before I import new tax year data? If I don't do that before I import my new data from the brokerages, I end up with so many of these to go through and individually delete, since individual securities are not listed on these forms when they transfer to the next year return.
Seems like the simplest way to deal with this duplicate importing is by deleting these prior year imports before I import new data for current year. Yes? or No?

After you transfer the information from the prior-year return, when first go to the Wages & Income section, before you import from any brokerage, you should get a screen like the one shown below that lists all the income-reporting forms that were transferred. It asks you whether they still apply for the current year. Just click No for all the ones you don't want to keep, then click Continue.
