I made an error on a form that was automatically generated and completed through SmartCheck. I made an error during that process. If I delete the form, will SmartCheck then take me through it again so I can correct it? Or will it be gone forever?
If deleting it won't work, how do I access and correct that mistake? I'm using TT online. It's form 568.

Here's how to create Form 568:
Can you clarify if you looked at the Business summary under the CA state return?
You should try to edit the form, not delete it. You can revisit the section needed to make changes by using the topic search feature in TurboTax Online. On the left-hand side go to Tax Tools>Tools >Topic Search or Topic List. Then type the section or form that you need to update in the search box and click Go.

Thanks for the reply, but I have been unable to find a way to edit this form, form 568. I have tried using the sidebar for search, and gone back through steps of TT. Entries seem to have ONLY been made during SmartCheck. I don't think they are part of the normal flow of TurboTax. If they are, I can't find them. Can you help me find how to make changes to this form?
If the form cannot be accessed and edited, I'd like to know if deletion will allow me to revisit this during SmartCheck. Or will it disappear forever?
It looks like form 568 is a CA form for LLC. You can delete the state and try it again, or delete the form. If you delete the form, it should not show up in the SmartCheck. So if it is needed to file, you will have to redo it after it's deleted. If you entered this information in the Federal, you will have to adjust it there as the information transfers to the state return.
Please see this Turbo Tax FAQ on how to delete your state return.
How do I delete my state return in TurboTax Online?
This Turbo Tax FAQ will show you how to delete a form.
If I delete it and have to redo it, how can I if it doesn't show up in SmartCheck any longer? that is the ONLY place it was dealt with (that I can locate) in TT. If there is another way to access it, I'm dying to find it!
If I need to delete the state form and start over, how do I do that?
Thanks for all your help-
d.
oops--I see you had a link for deleting state return. ignore last part of prior question. but I'm still eager to find how to edit or create the form outside of SmartCheck (if I delete it).
The form is created as you enter or answer the questions for that particular section. Since this is pertaining to an LLC, it is generated during that section of the return. You can't edit the form if you are using the online version. You can if you purchase the CD/Download and you switch to Forms Mode.
This is the section I'm unable to find. It only seemed to ask about this stuff during SmartCheck. Can you help me navigate to that section? Or is it simply the State section in general, all of which will have to be deleted?
I have already paid for TT online and do not wish to purchase another product...thanks!
Here's how to create Form 568:
I do not see the line "Is xxx owned by a single member LLC?" in the Business Summary. I'm using the online version of TurboTax.
I've deleted and restarted state and cannot find how to enter that this is an LLC...searching my printable tax forms generated after completing state does not include form 568...
Dying here. Help!
Can you clarify if you looked at the Business summary under the CA state return?
That is indeed the section I was viewing...Business Summary.
NO--I was in Fed, not State! Ok, I think I have gotten through this roadblock! Thank you!
We are happy to hear you were able to get everything all situated!
Please let us know if we can further assist you.
I cannot get the form 568 deleted. Turbo tax thinks I have an LLC and I don't. THis is so infuriating!
