Delayed Refund

Federal tax return accepted on February 9, 2024.  Sent a "verify" letter.  Completed verify identity on March 15, 2024.  Still no refund.  Am I going to get audited or is the IRS just SLOW?

The IRS uses the identify verification process to help prevent fraudulent filings.  Receiving such a letter does not mean an audit is coming.  Likely they are still processing your return.  Here is a link with more information on the ID verify letters.
