Death Benefits

I received a death benefit from my son's Union the Teamsters Union and it was taxed and I'm on Social Security and don't make very much money am I eligible to get that tax money back by filing a tax return

Yes if they took tax withholding out of it. You will probably get a 1099R for it. You can file a tax return to claim any refund. When you file a tax return you need to enter all your income including Social Security on a SSA-1099.
