I filed my taxes with TurboTax for the 2024 year and never got a return. I paid for it to be electronicky filed and had to mail them off. I have repeatedly tried to call TurboTax and can get no help as my situation doesn't fall under the AI's guidelines for needing help. it states that it can find anything for me in that tax year but i can sign in and see all my tax information on the site. I need to speak to a person, a real person to get to the bottom of this. I thought it would be a good idea and have been paying for it ever since. I really thought I was dealing with a solid company who cares about the people spending money on their services and they turned out to be unresponsive, unreliable and terrible customer service. I sure by looking at all the other issues people are having that I will get the same AI reply. Thank you for all the non-help.

You do not mention why you filed by mail instead of e-filing.   If you used online TurboTax, the fee is the same whether you e-file or file by mail.   Once you file your tax return, TurboTax receives no information from the IRS---whether you e-file or file by mail, so no one at TT knows if your envelope successfully made it to the IRS.  If the IRS received the return you should be able to see information on the IRS refund site.

 

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

Way ahead of you. I would need to electronically file it. They have no record of it. Followed the directions and had the past office check it. Would love to get this back and have it filed but can not get a hold of anyone on you end to get it done. Your customer service number is terrible. Your only allowed to  have one of two issues and then they don't understand and hang up. You should be able to speak to someone about the issues that you are having. The support sucks.

To reply to the first comment, I thought I was filing electronically. It would've been a lot easier. This was my first experience doing it online and can say, never had an issue when i went into the little green office. One lesson is good enough for me.

This is mainly a user community forum--not a direct route to TurboTax Customer Support. 

 

You said you mailed the 2024 return.   TurboTax doesn't mail it for you, so I presume you physically did.  

You didn't mention if you have talked to the IRS to see if they show a 2024 return has been filed.  Or if you have an online IRS account, you can look in there and see what your 2024 return transcript shows.

I can't tell for sure from your original posting, but if you used Online TurboTax for 2024, are you also having trouble finding your 2024 online return in your TurboTax account?   If so, we can tell you how you should be able to find a copy of it.
