CRYPTO SECTION NEEDS REVIEW

That's what I'm getting as well.

First year with crypto and I have to review about 200 entries that are only worth 0.0001 penny.

One line at a time.

This doesn't make sense for tax on a couple of pennies.

Its Jan 20th, 2023, and I am getting this same issue on my 2022 taxes for turbotax online. I imported the transactions from Coinbase.

Assuming you have no adjustment to make, go to the last screen in the Investment Section, and click Continue or Done which should clear the "Needs Review" flags.

Thanks for the quick response. Nothing needs reviewing (I tried via filter and also went to every page to be sure) so I went to the last page and clicked Continue. The next option was Confirm so I clicked that and it takes me back to a summary of items but my crypto info has not been updated and when I go back to the Investments and Savings section, it still says "You haven't reviewed your crypto transactions yet."

Just as info to anyone else who has this issue, I was able to continue even though it continually had the "needs review" message showing every time I went back to the income section. It seemed like it was going to let me submit the return, but I ultimately ended up importing to the desktop version that I had already bought. The desktop version had a similar message about the crypto needing review but it cleared once I went into that section. I was able to submit my return with no issues. Thanks!

Its needs review but it only says the fiat currency needs reviewed but reviewing it does nothing to get rid of it.

After uploading a .csv file of cryptocurrency transactions, the mandatory Review message that I have seen is to answer the question How did you receive this investment?

Are you seeing that Review message?  Please clarify.

Are you referring to the Review issue?  I receive this Review message and inspect each entry by clicking on the pencil icon to the right.  

Are you addressing each issue including the question “how did you receive this investment?”

Or are you referring to the cryptocurrency upload?

In TurboTax Premier Online, you may be able to upload a .csv file by following these steps: 

• Go to Federal / Wages & Income / Your income / Investments and Savings.
• Click Start / Revisit to the right of Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other.
• Click Add investments.
• At the screen Get ready to be impressed, click Continue.
• At the screen Let’s import your tax info, click Enter a different way.
• At the screen OK, let’s start with one investment type, select Cryptocurrency.  Click Continue.
• At the screen Select your crypto experience, select Upload.  Click Continue.
• At the screen What’s the name of the crypto service, select Other and enter the name of the service.
• Click Continue.
• At the screen Go ahead and upload your crypto CSV file, upload the file.

The .csv should follow this format.

• All the columns from the .csv file were deleted except for the five columns listed below.   
• All other lines other than the headings and the five columns of data were deleted.

•    Purchase Date
•    Date Sold
•    Proceeds
•    Cost Basis
•    Currency Name

I did exactly this - clicked on all 300 items that "need review", and filled out every single blank item, and - nothing works. Still there - "needs review"

And when I try to file, it crashes turbotax. I can file my mail if I want. Why am I am paying Turbotax anything if I'm doing it by mail? That's rediculous.

Last year of turbotax. This is such trash.

I has me also currently in a " Needs Review Loop" 

I have 2 transactions that say they are missing a " Value", I know that value, and when I go to click on the "pencil icon" to enter the correct value, it loops me back to the "main screen " where it has the Investments words with the cupped hand. 

How do I delete these two transactions and enter them manually, I'm late filing my taxes because of this issue!!!! I was unable to finish my taxes last night on the 18th because of this! Please advise me of how to override this, Do I click the trashcan on the main screen? Or will that delete all the transactions ive already entered, or just these 3 that needs review?

Clicking this Delete trashcan will remove only the three items referenced.

After the items are deleted, you may upload again or re-enter them by hand.
